Dal Masoor Kofta with Almonds

  Masoor dal contains high levels of proteins, including the essential amino acids isoleucine and lysine It works amazing Health, Skin, Hair and Weight Loss.this recipe is for 4 serving and will be ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients for Kofta:-
  • Dal masoor 1 cup.
  • Grated ginger 1 table spoon.
  • Chopped green chili 1 tea spoon.
  • Salt 1/2 tea spoon.
  • Red chili powder 1 tea spoon.
  • Besan flour 1/2 cup.
  • Oil for deep fry.
For gravy:-
  • Chopped onion 2.
  • Garlic paste1 tea spoon.
  • Ginger paste 1 table spoon.
  • Tomato paste 1 cup.
  • Chopped green chili 1 table spoon.
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup.
  • Red chili powder 1 tea spoon.
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tea spoon.
  • Garam masala 1 tea spoon.
  • Salt 1 tea spoon.
  • Coriander powder 1 tea spoon.
  • Fresh coriander leaves 1 cup.
  • Oil 1 cup.
  • Fried almonds 1/2 cup.
  • Lemon chunks of 1 lemon.
How to cook:-
  1. Soak the Dal for 4-5 hours.
  2. Then rains and drain its water.
  3. Blend the Dal in blender with little water.
  4. Heat the fry pan and stir in Dal for 2 minutes or until it dry.
  5. Remove from the heat and leave it for cool.
  6.  Add salt.green chili,grated ginger,red chili powder,besan flour in the Dal and mix well.
  7. Transfer the Dal paste in a bowl and kneed with hands well.
  8. Make 2 inches balls of this mixture.
  9. Heat the oil in a deep pan.
  10. Fry the balls in very warm oil,do not touch the balls with spatula.
  11. Fry the balls each side on medium heat until golden brown.
  12. Fry all the balls same and pour in a dish and set aside.
  13. For make the gravy heat the 1/2 cup oil in a pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes,then remove from the oil and pour in a plate.
  14. Add garlic and ginger paste in the oil and fry for 3 minutes,then add tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes.
  15. Add red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,coriander powder and cook for 3 minites.
  16. Add 1/2 cup of water.
  17. Add beaten yogurt and cook for 5 8  minutes.
  18. Add 3 cup of water .
  19. Blend the fried onion and add in the gravy.
  20. Cook for 10 minutes until it dry and leaves oil.
  21. Add 2 cup of water and cook for 5 minutes on medium to low heat.
  22. Add the dal masoor kofta in the gravy and simmer for 10 minutes.
  23. Pour in the serving bowl and sprinkle over the garam masala and garnish with coriander leaves fried almonds and lemon chunks.
