Ingredients for Kofta:-
- Dal masoor 1 cup.
- Grated ginger 1 table spoon.
- Chopped green chili 1 tea spoon.
- Salt 1/2 tea spoon.
- Red chili powder 1 tea spoon.
- Besan flour 1/2 cup.
- Oil for deep fry.
- Chopped onion 2.
- Garlic paste1 tea spoon.
- Ginger paste 1 table spoon.
- Tomato paste 1 cup.
- Chopped green chili 1 table spoon.
- Yogurt 1/2 cup.
- Red chili powder 1 tea spoon.
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tea spoon.
- Garam masala 1 tea spoon.
- Salt 1 tea spoon.
- Coriander powder 1 tea spoon.
- Fresh coriander leaves 1 cup.
- Oil 1 cup.
- Fried almonds 1/2 cup.
- Lemon chunks of 1 lemon.
- Soak the Dal for 4-5 hours.
- Then rains and drain its water.
- Blend the Dal in blender with little water.
- Heat the fry pan and stir in Dal for 2 minutes or until it dry.
- Remove from the heat and leave it for cool.
- Add salt.green chili,grated ginger,red chili powder,besan flour in the Dal and mix well.
- Transfer the Dal paste in a bowl and kneed with hands well.
- Make 2 inches balls of this mixture.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan.
- Fry the balls in very warm oil,do not touch the balls with spatula.
- Fry the balls each side on medium heat until golden brown.
- Fry all the balls same and pour in a dish and set aside.
- For make the gravy heat the 1/2 cup oil in a pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes,then remove from the oil and pour in a plate.
- Add garlic and ginger paste in the oil and fry for 3 minutes,then add tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,coriander powder and cook for 3 minites.
- Add 1/2 cup of water.
- Add beaten yogurt and cook for 5 8 minutes.
- Add 3 cup of water .
- Blend the fried onion and add in the gravy.
- Cook for 10 minutes until it dry and leaves oil.
- Add 2 cup of water and cook for 5 minutes on medium to low heat.
- Add the dal masoor kofta in the gravy and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour in the serving bowl and sprinkle over the garam masala and garnish with coriander leaves fried almonds and lemon chunks.
