Ingredients:-
- All purpose flour 2 cup.
- Egg whites 5.
- Sugar 1-1/2 cup.
- Baking powder 1 table spoon.
- Salt 1/2 tea spoon.
- Milk 1-1/4 cup.
- Butter 1 cup.
- Cherry extract 1 tea spoon.
- Cherry juice 1 table spoon.
- Chopped cherries 1 cup.
- Egg whites 4.
- Corn syrup 2/3cup.
- Sugar 1 cup.
- Vanilla extract 1 tea spoon.
- Take a bowl and sift flour,salt and baking powder.
- Take another bowl and whisk the milk and egg whites.
- In the mixer bowl beat the butter and sugar for 3 minutes until very light and fluffy.
- Add cherry juice and cherry extract and beat.
- Add the third of the flour mixture and beat on medium speed.
- Beat in the half of the milk and egg whites mixture.
- Add half of the dry ingredients and beat.
- Add the remaining milk and egg mixture,then add the remaining flour mixture well.
- Fold in the cherries.
- Take the two 9 inch round cake pan and spray them with oil and lined with parchment.
- Divide the mixture in two pans.
- Bake them on 350 degree for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Leave it for cool for 10 minutes ,then remove from the pan and leave for completely cool.
- Beat the egg whites until become form stiff peaks.
- Heat the sugar and corn syrup until comes a full boil,then remove from the heat.
- Slowly pure the egg whites in hot sugar mixture.
- Beat the frosting until it forms a shiny.
- Beat in vanilla extract.
- Frost the cake and sprinkle red sugar sprinkles on the top.
